BENDAMUSTINE
Generic name: Bendamustine Hydrocloride
Trade Name(s): Treanda®, Bendekatm
Bendamustine is an anti-cancer, chemotherapy drug. This drug works at the cellular level, interfering with the DNA, preventing a cell from dividing into two. Thus preventing cancer growth.
Used to treat:
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
Indolent B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
Specific to Cold Agglutinin Disease we are starting to see a combination of Rituxan-Bendamustine being administered.
